Butterfly- Jason Mraz

The other day, Doops and I were driving back from a weekend trip out of town…and he played this song and started to ‘sing it to me’…these were the only lyrics he got correct:

And you make my slacks a little tight
You may unfasten them if you like
That’s if you crash and spend the night

I’m on a day trip to Syracuse for some permit and licensing paperwork formalities.  I don’t get to drive a lot…and on my own, even less.  Today is one of those rare exceptions…and my road tripping music choice is ‘Bend’ by Jennifer Vazquez.

The sun is shinning down, the wind is blowing through the car, and the music is keeping me in a happy-chill mood.

Perfect afternoon!

Outside of the love for writing music…it’s now amazing to have a romantic someone to share it with…who seem to actually care to listen to me try to find words to describe one of my passions.

…ya know…the ones outside of ‘him’.  ;-)

Living today just to watch this as many times as possible.

…’even dykes say, ‘YAY!”

…….’I said no MAYONAISE! …fuck!!!’

………..’They say his promise is true, but what if you are a Jew? They need a kosher meal too, to bring their life to anew.’

‘I hate Seagulls’ - Kate Nash

Doops sent me this song file.  I must first state, he has an affinity for music that is really just like…some acoustic instrument usually running 1/8th notes and then a singer talking on top of it.  Usually in these songs, there is a line that he thinks applies to me/us…and that is really the silver lining I think about when it’s his turn to listen to ‘jams’ in the car.  However, he sent this one to me…and I just don’t know which line it is…is this his way of saying…’I usually don’t like people like you…BUT I love you anyway’?

Geee…thanks for thinking of me!  lol.

<3 him so much anyway.

Remember when I posted this video?

Yeah…I don’t watch ‘Sing Off!’…but one of my best friends, Michelle is engrossed with Pentatonix’ music…and the core of their group is this trio I stumbled across years ago. They won the whole show…how simply amazing for them!

It’s nice to see where creativity, passion, and hard work will eventually get you.

I was at Capital Pride last weekend for marching band…BEST parade I’ve done in years.  Lesbians threw stuff at me, I was groped, and was cheered on the entire way from step off to the end.  We played Mama Mia, Hawaii 5-0, some Lady Gaga, music for the straight white people who came, and more!  I saw this guy while I was there.

I am stoked for Capital Pride next year!

Ashley, I hope you enjoy this…and I hope we make it west of the Appalachians sometime (since we’re the National GLBT marching band, you’d think we’d have a more expansive territory *shrugs*) But you can see me @ 7:56ish, so it’s like we saw each other at Pride…yes?  (and 11:52ish should provide you with a laugh…we ‘dance’ in a lot of our routines.)  Go ‘head and geek out…  :-)

I saw Jana Fisher playing at Ella Lounge somewhat recently. I like her charisma and emotion-inspired music (even moreso playing live in one of my favorite bars).

She’s awesome…check her stuff out.

…flash orchestra

Remember this? Well, I went to go see Nick and his girl live at Best Buy a while ago…unfortunately their set held over a time when I had to get rollin’ to see other friends performing in the LES…so I could not say ‘hey’ at the end, but fun FB messages were sent.  Karmin is really blowing up, and it’s great to see someone who works hard begin to achieve all that they aim for.

Achordial Brio will be at this same Best Buy on the 1st.  It’s going to be like flash mob…only …flash orchestra.

Can’t wait.
